Sam Thomas is in love and his love weighs 100 tons.
For 40 years engine # 468 has sat idle at Northside Park but all that is about to change. When Sam finds out that Mayor Pugmyre wants to sell the park to developers and sell the engine for scrap, he decides it's time for action. The trouble is, no one but his friends seem interested in saving #468 from the cutters torch. That leaves only one option-steal the locomotive.
Join Sam and his best friend Ralph as they take the train ride of their lives in an effort to save the town's last steam locomotive from an unscrupulous mayor.
Author John Gilbert has also had a lifelong love affair with trains. John is the production manager for a TV studio in the Atlanta area. He has his own local TV show and has also appeared in several movies filmed in the southeast."
